How much money have you got?  How big is your flare?  How fare away from the ignition panel will the flare tip be? How many pilots burners do you have or need?  What utilities (pilot gas, power, air) do you have.   Do you want an automated system or is a manual ignition system sufficient?     All of these questions have to be considered in order to determine the most appropriate ignition system for each application and therefore the cost.

Pricing can range from a few thousand pounds for a very simple electronic unit, through to several hundred thousand for an automated compressed air driven ballistic ignition system.
