Flare
Refurbishments (all OEM
Flares)
This
has seen strong growth mostly
driven by the associated cost savings, but also more design
improvements being incorporated to squeeze that extra year or two
from the original equipment. These improvements include
material changes as well as flare tip design modifications to
substantially reduce the heat effects on certain flare types.
New
Flare Tips
Argo
flare Services have seen a steady growth in the supply of new flare
tips and vents. Last year we designed and fabricated a new HP/LP flare for the
Norwegian Sector in 800H in a record time of 6 weeks.
Fly-By
Helicopter Aerial Flare Photographic Surveys
Helicopter
Flare Surveys have proved to be very popular. A sharp increase
has been seen in its use for Pre-TAR planning, allowing work scopes
and replacement equipment to be accurately scheduled.
We
have also noticed that operators are increasingly making use of Argo's fly-by service to
inspect the flare deck covering (Flare
Radiation Shielding) as well as the Flare Boom (or Flare Tower)
Structure.
Our
photographer, (David Gold) has also been requested to take a few
"Long Shots" of Offshore Installations, as those held in
archive are often old and dated. This can all be achieved with
excellent resolution on the same Fly-By as that of the Flare Tip
Survey.
For
some typical photographs obtained during Fly-By inspections please
refer to our Flare Photograph
Gallery page.

Flare
Deck Radiation Shielding
Argo
flares received orders for 4 complete sets of radiation panels and
heat shield for separate UK sector offshore installations. Two
installed this year by means of helicopter lift, and the remaining due for
delivery next year. For further information please
contact
us, and see our
flare deck
page.
